Barra do Sucuri - Snorkeling Bonito

The Barra do Sucuri tour is located at Sítio Água Azul. It's called Barra do Sucuri because it begins exactly where the Sucuri River and the Formoso River meet, hence the name "Barra" (Barra), a term used to describe this "meeting."

From this location, you can admire both rivers and see how much clearer the Sucuri River is than the Formoso River. It's no wonder it's considered the third-clearest river on the planet!

The Sucuri River is small, approximately 1,800 meters long, with 1,300 meters used for electric boat tours and snorkeling.

The Sucuri River was named after its aerial view and its curves, giving it the shape of a snake.
